Meet the Team
Meet Our Danville, IL Dental Team
Nancy | Patient Services
Nancy’s family has lived in the Danville area all of her life. She has been married to her husband, Gary, since 1985. They have one son, Michael.
Before getting into dentistry, Nancy worked in retail and in optometry. Nancy loves working with Dr. Fuesting and enjoys the very close relationships she has with each of her team members. She also loves working to help patients have the best experience possible and believes this is key to maintaining a healthy atmosphere. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you in any way she can.
Connie | Patient Services
Connie has lived in the Bismarck area my entire life. She married her high school sweetheart, Brad, in 1983, one year after graduating from BHHS. Since they were so young, they chose not to have children immediately. They needed the time to mature and experience life.
In April 1990 they were excited to have their first son, Gabe. They spent every waking moment with him. With being the only child for five years, Gabe was spoiled, but also responsible for his age. This worked to everyone’s advantage, because he became the most important big brother in June 1995. Triplet siblings, Caleb, Abby, and Jesse, were born. God miraculously changed their lives and what a wonderful change it was.
After nine years of employment at Dillman Eye Care, she had to make the tough decision to resign. Gabe was six years old and involved in many activities. The triplets were one – walking, and into everything. She needed to be home with her family. This was the beginning of her next journey, at home daycare and a Creative Memories Consultant for seven years.
Once her children became older, she was able to work outside of the home. She was honored to join Advanced Smile Arts on March 8, 2004. “I am loving every minute of it”, as Kramer on the sitcom Seinfeld would say. Her coworkers adopted me as part of the family immediately. Each patient is such a joy for Connie to be around. The knowledge she’s gaining is incredible and she’s so hungry for more, she just can’t get enough. She is so thankful to have this wonderful opportunity.
Deb | Registered Dental Hygienist
Deb has been interested in dentistry since the ninth grade. With some encouragement from her family dentist, she started her dental career working for a local orthodontist during her junior year in high school. After she graduated from Danville High, she attended Lake Land College’s Dental Hygiene program and graduated with her associate’s degree in Applied Science in 1977.
Deb started working for Dr. Basil Geckler right out of college and stayed with the practice until 1980, when she began working for the VA as a dental hygienist. It was there that she learned a lot about dental hygiene for medically compromised patients. She has worked with patients who have had strokes, heart disease, pulmonary issues, and diabetes (among other problems) and learned how their general health can compromise their dental health and vice versa. She left the VA to work with Dr. Fuesting in 1985 and has been there ever since.
Deb attends many dental seminars to keep her skills above standard and to learn the best ways to work with patients, their dental health, and their overall general health and well-being. She loves working with our hi-tech equipment, such as our digital X-rays, digital impressions, computers, and soft tissue laser, because it helps her maintain her commitment to quality and excellence for her patients.
Deb is also a freelance photographer and works for the local newspaper, the Commercial-News, Danville Area Community College for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Basketball tournament, and for herself doing wedding, portrait, and sports photography. Both jobs keep her involved in the community. Deb was born and raised in Danville, so staying involved and being an asset to the community is very important to her. Deb looks forward to helping you attain your dental goals!
Kathy | Registered Dental Hygienist
Kathy has been a hygienist since 1983. She graduated from Parkland College in Champaign, IL, and has enjoyed working in the Danville area ever since. Kathy has been here on the Fuesting team since 2000 and loves her job. She thinks it is such a joy taking care of and getting to know her patients and their families. Kathy has a wonderful son, Sloan, who attends Danville High School and is quite a soccer player! Her family is also joined by Kodah, the very vocal gray and white cat; Sophie, a full-of-life cream-colored standard poodle; and their new addition, Sushi, a rescue cat. She is a beautiful calico who surprised the family with five kittens! Kathy has been greatly blessed in her life with wonderful friends, family, and a career. Other than spending time with her family, Kathy enjoys decorating/crafts, walking, shopping, gardening, and traveling whenever possible.
Kimberly | Dental Assistant
Kimberly lives in Rossville with her husband, Matt, and their two beautiful children, Alexander and Laiken. She grew up in Oakwood and went into the health care field after she graduated in 2004. She had been in health care for ten years when she decided she needed a change. She had always been interested in dentistry, so she joined the Smile Team and is so glad she did! Kimberly believes Dr. Fuesting has the best staff around.
When she is not with her family, Kimberly enjoys shopping with her friends, baking, spending time at the beach, and writing poetry. She has a few of her poems published.
Kimberly has a passion for people. She enjoys helping others and making people smile and laugh. She likes to say that if she meets a patient who’s frowning and they leave smiling, she has done her job. Kimberly can’t wait to meet you. Smile on!
Rose | Dental Assistant
Rose is the newest addition to Advanced Smile Arts, starting in October 2015. Previously, she had worked at Aunt Martha’s Vermilion County Health Center, mainly in the dental department. The majority of her time there was spent as a dental assistant, but she also worked in child psychiatry, insurance, and front desk. However, in order to broaden her knowledge she decided to take a position here with Dr. Fuesting. It has been a great decision as she continues to learn new things every day.
She is also working a second job in retail, but any time she has to spare she tries to spend with her family and friends and also her pet child, Bosco. Family is very important to her and she often travels to Texas to visit… and spend time on the beach.
Rose hopes to make you feel welcome at Advanced Smile Arts, just as the staff here has made her feel welcome.
