Read on to learn more about the services our Danville, IL dental team can provide and how they can help you. As always, feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
Tooth Removal / Extractions
Tooth extractions are one of the most routine oral surgery procedures we offer. If you need to have a tooth removed due to damage, disease, or orthodontic reasons, we can help. We first numb the area using a local anesthetic. We then gently loosen the tooth using specialized tools before removing it. This entire process is quick, simple, and painless (thanks to local anesthesia and our sedation dentistry).
Wisdom Teeth Removal
We are able to remove wisdom teeth in most cases right here in our Danville, IL office. The exception is impacted wisdom teeth — we will refer you out for that. However, for simpler wisdom teeth procedures, we can help you get the care you need without stress or pain. You can count on Dr. Fuesting and the Smile Team to get the job done and help you stay comfortable throughout the process.
Ridge augmentation refers to a procedure designed to change the shape of the ridge along your jawbone or on the roof of your mouth. Depending on your needs, we can build up these areas to create a better fit for your dentures or to make implant placement possible. Talk to Dr. Fuesting about this option to determine if it is right for you.
While we do not handle complicated sinus lift cases, we can take care of a sinus lift for you if your situation is simple and non-severe. If your sinus cavity is positioned too close to your mouth, we can essentially lift the cavity to create more room for dental implants to be placed. This additional room means a higher chance of successful implant placement. Discuss this option with our team to find out if it is right for you.
Bone grafting is a common necessity for dental implant patients who have experienced some amount of jawbone deterioration. We can use bone material to build up your jawbone in the necessary areas. This will allow for easier and more successful dental implant placement. In some cases, you may not be eligible for dental implants without it! Dr. Fuesting can help you decide if bone grafting is the way to go.
Think all of these surgical options sound scary? Don’t fear — we offer a variety of comfort options as well as dental sedation to help you feel at ease throughout your time in our office. Learn more about these options by visiting our page on relieving your dental anxiety.
